How do I enter a player?    Top
To add a new player, tap the “+” button located in the upper right corner of the home screen and enter the player’s name and team name. Tap the “Save” button to save the new player. Tap “Cancel” to return to the home screen without entering a new player.
How do I edit a player?    Top
An existing player’s information can be changed by tapping the “Edit” button on the lower left side of the home screen and selecting the player you would like to edit. Once your player’s information has been updated, tap the “Save” button to save the changes and return to the home screen. Tap “Cancel” to return to the home screen without making any changes. To exit edit mode, tap the “Done” button on the lower left side of the home screen.

Delete a player by tapping the “Edit” button followed by the delete symbol to reveal the “Delete” button. Tap the “Delete” button to permanently remove the player from Stat Tap Football. You may delete a player without entering edit mode by swiping your finger across the player name to reveal the “Delete” button. Keep in mind that once you delete a player all games and stat information associated with that player will be lost.
How do I enter a game?    Top
Add a new game by tapping the “+” button at the upper right corner of the home screen. You will be prompted to enter the opposing team’s name and the game date. Tap the “Save” button to save the new game. Tapping “Cancel” will return you to the home screen without entering a new game.

You may also edit a previously entered game by tapping the “Edit” button on the lower left side of the games screen and selecting the game you would like to edit. Once the desired changes have been made, tap the “Save” button to save your changes and return to the home screen. Tap “Cancel” to return to the home screen without making any changes. To exit edit mode, tap the “Done” button on the lower left side of the home screen.

To delete a game, tap the “Edit” button and then tap the delete symbol to reveal the “Delete” button. Tap the “Delete” button to permanently remove the selected game. You can also delete a game without entering edit mode by swiping your finger across the game name to reveal the “delete” button. Keep in mind that once you delete a game, all stat information associated with that game will be lost.
How do I enter a play?    Top
The play entry screen consists of a keyboard for quickly entering new plays and a list of previously entered plays.

The keyboard is divided into three different sections: Offense, Defense and Special Teams (SP Teams). Use the buttons at the bottom of the keyboard to navigate between the different sections. The top of the keyboard consists of play keys. Tapping most play keys will bring up an options screen where additional play information must be entered.

To begin entering plays, select a player and game to get to the play entry screen. Enter a play by selecting the keyboard and tapping the corresponding play key. Tap “Enter” to save the play, or “Cancel” to return to the play entry screen without entering a play. If additional information is required, an options screen will come up after you have selected the desired play. Enter the additional information and tap the “Enter” button to save the play. Tapping the “Cancel” button will return you to the play entry screen without entering a play.

Enter or update the game score by tapping the “Game Score” button at the bottom of the play entry screen. Enter the scores for each team and tap the “Save” button to save the score or the “Cancel” button to return to the play entry screen without changing the score.
How do I edit a play?    Top
Once a play has been saved, it will appear at the top of the play list below the keyboard. You can edit or delete any previously entered play at any time. Edit a play by tapping the “Edit” button at the lower left corner of the play entry screen. Select the play you would like to edit and the play keyboard will display the previously entered play information. Make the desired changes and tap the “Enter” button to save the updated play. To return to the play entry screen without altering the play, tap the “Cancel” button.

You may delete a play by tapping the “Edit” button at the lower left corner of the play entry screen. Tap the delete symbol on the play you would like to remove to reveal the “Delete” button. Tap the “Delete” button to remove the play. To delete a play without entering edit mode, simply swipe your finger sideways on the play you would like to delete to reveal the “Delete” button. Tap the “Delete” button to remove the play. This action is permanent.
How do I enter the score?    Top
Enter or update the game score by tapping the “Game Score” button at the bottom of the play entry screen. Enter the scores for each team and tap the “Save” button to save the score or the “Cancel” button to return to the play entry screen without changing the score.
How do I view stats?    Top
To view season stats, tap the “Season Stats” button at the lower right corner of the games screen. View game stats by tapping the “Game Stats” button at the lower right corner of the play entry screen. These buttons will bring up the desired stats sheet. You can navigate between totals and averages on the season stats screen using the button at the lower right corner of the season/game stats screen. You can navigate between offense, defense and special teams using the buttons at the bottom of the game stats screen.
How do I email and print stats?    Top
To text, email or print a stat sheet, tap the action button at the lower left side of the season/game stat screen, select text, mail or print from the menu and you will be take to the appropriate application the complete the task.

Due to the lack of formatting available in messaging, Stat Tap Football will only text a subset of your player’s stats for each category.
